Inter-services (The Loriners Cup) Results

By November 24, 2022 No Comments

The inter-services competition (The Loriners Cup, kindly sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Loriners) concluded at the RAF Championships at Sparsholt Equestrian Centre. The leg was the combined training leg – which is made up of a dressage test (Novice level) and a showjumping round (1.05 m) with penalties added up to tally the final score. With 4 well-ridden dressage tests, the Army Team had all to win/lose on. Unfortunately a few rails were dropped and that dropped us to 2nd place for this leg.

With a total of 4 legs that make up the overall scompetition, the Army team was tied with the Royal Navy as both services were tied with 2x 1sts and 2x 2nd places each. The first of the tie-breakers were invoked which involved counting the number of top 6 finishers per leg. As the high standard would show, we managed to retain the lead and thus hold the Loriners Cup for another year. Well done to all Army Team members that contributed this year!
