Each year, service riders in addition to the police battle it out to qualify for the Services Showjumping held at the prestigious London International Horse Show in December. Points are accumulated over 4 different qualifiers held over the military competition season Apr-Oct.
This year has been particularly successful for the Army as we took 7/8 qualification spots including a military working horse combination. The qualified personnel are:
- Capt Zoe Andrew (R Signals) and her own Asterix IV
- ATpr Will Field (AAC) and his own Graddus T
- Tpr Dylan Hinton (LG) and his own Atlas
- SSgt Louise Hoyle (AGC) and her own Dior
- WO2 Micheal Mcgrath (RHG/D- HCMR-DATR) and MWH Middleham
- Bdr Lara Hails (RA) and her own Furzileas Hidden Gem
- LCpl Laura Charley (R Signals) and her own Grearranstown Soolmoy Royal
