This year the RAF Championships relocated to Sparsholt Equestrian Centre for the final military equestrian fixture for 2022. With over 50 horse and rider combinations from the Army from all cap badges, this was a weekend that many looked forward towards. We first had the Army Team compete in the final Loriners inter-services cup leg (see dedicated post) where we were narrowly beaten by the Royal Navy. However, all was not lost as we still managed to secure the win. With the Loriners victory secured, all eyes focused onto the various Corps riders. From military working horses from the Household Cavalry and the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, to hireling horses from Sparsholt and personal horses of Corp riders, we saw numerous success all round.
